Photo Tips
Submitting your photos to the agents and scouts through ModelScouts.com is quick and easy!
Step one is to submit your stats and contact information through our Registration Form. Once you have submitted your information you are
ready to submit your photos to us by email or mail.
Professional photos are not required, however, if you have them by all means please submit them. We accept professional photos or simple snapshots. Your photos can be all black and white or all color or a combination of both.
There is no limit on the number of photos you can send but we recommend a minimum of two photos and no more than ten. Agents and scouts can determine if they are interested in you in the first 2 photos they see.
If they would like more photos they will request them.
If you have tearsheets from actual work you have done then please send them all. If you are new to the industry and are sending snapshots then 3 or 4 photos is usually plenty.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when submitting your photos.
- Submit clear photos that are in focus.
- Submit at least one headshot and a full length shot.
- Keep make-up to a minimum.
- Keep hairstyles simple and well groomed.
- Keep clothing simple and in good taste.
- When submitting your photos by regular mail please include your name, stats, phone number and email address on the back of each photo.
- When submitting your photos by email please put your name in the subject line.
- Please submit photos that are in good taste. First impressions are important.
- Pay attention to the background in your photos. Try to shoot photos against a plain wall or outdoors.
- If you are comfortable in a swimsuit try to include a swimsuit shot.
- Kids should be natural and look like regular kids. Please do not dress children up in fancy clothes, use make-up or make them look like beauty pageant contestants.
- Please don't submit photos of you wearing fur. Several of the agents we work with find the use of fur offensive. Don't risk turning the agents off by wearing fur. Besides, it
is difficult to see your body type if it is covered up by a fur coat.
- Please do not send nudes. Modeling agencies DO NOT want to see you naked.
- Please do not send original photos by mail. We do not return photos.
